its in the eye

First I have to explain that i’m not a huge techno person. The way I work in life is as if I’m driving. If something gets in my way I don’t often go around it I usually will investigate it. So this technology class is great because I’m “forced” to learn. So far I’m really really enjoying it. My favourite new tool is IGOOGLE. IF you haven’t gotten it.. GO get it. The concept is that instead of going to website, websites come to you. The idea is so simple I can’t believe it just came out. It is perfect for people who are not that intersted in computers or the internet. Personally for a long time I would only check my email, and once and awhile youtube. Mostly because I was to lazy to go to all of the different sites. However now with this amazing new fancy way of interneting it, it because much easier. I keep going to my friends houses and pluggin them onto it. IGOOGLE. soo cool.

So a little bit about my stuff:

Well as a young wee child we got a computer. Our first game was Mario typing. It was a BLAST! My dad is convinced thats how I became such a good typer. The truth is that it was great way to teach kids the right way to type. I use all the right keys and I never look down. (ooh look at me). But I have to say when we got the interent my typing skills really imporved with the amazing virtual barbie game “The Palace”

The Palace:

So the Palace was this place where each person would get an avitar. These were little people that you could dress up. SO COOL. Then you could go to different rooms and chat.. Most likely with forty year olds. BUT it was soo much fun. I rememeber playing with friend all the time. Untill ICQ came to play.

ooh this new way of chatting. How neat. Yes how fun. I even met a boy named John that I chatted with. I convinced him that I was friends with Leonardo Dicapero (spl?) thanxs to THE X’s photo booths ! However, now I need an email account.

SOo I think I got gurl….. something rather account. It sucked. Then I went to HotMAIL… auqa…My friend thought thats how you spell aqua…. ooh but jokes on me. I still use that account. It is filled FILLEed with emails… I do have a new account dana_rogo. but it sucks. hahah I never use it. i should be all professional and shit.  ! But something new came out…. MSN. oh boy.

MSN

The beloved MSN. SO young girls and boys could chat till they were blue in the face. I was a big MSNER.  It was the place you could chat with boys! SO FUn haha I do have to say I am more into the real thing now. AFter a while there was nothing… Oh but My friend from highschool did make a website of alll the parties with funny captions underneith it. THAt was rich…. A well googled website…. Websiites.. hmmm what is this new idea?

The new fancy way of takin to people. I never got into it. I think I still have my account though, with my sixteen year old picture on it.. Then came FACEBOOOK

Facebook

I refused. I will not comform (like so many did before me). However I did LIke everyone else will eventuall do So I facebook from time to time. I have some pictures of me. It is interesting. What I like about it is that no one gets losts. If you have facebook everyone can find you. I lost my cellphone with a ton of numbers. The thing was the before facebook I could be really worried about not being in touch with people. This fear is completely erased via facebook! So I challenge anyone who makes fun of it. It is a useful resource.

NOW BLOG! I am not a blogger. I think it is a little crazier that someone else would actually read all this stuff… I have to admit this was kinda fun. Bloggin it. So interesting.

Technology is in. If you don’t on the band waggon your going to the be that annoying lady (or gent) who nags their grandkids to hook them up.  It is just something everyone is going to have to jump on.
